Initial investigations revealed that the Fort Pierce woman was driving a gray Honda sedan northbound in the 2800 block of South U.S Highway 1 when the vehicle unexpectedly deviated from its course. In a chilling sequence of events, the car collided with the median, traversed all southbound lanes, and collided violently with two trees before finally coming to a halt in the 2700 block.
