I always stress to the girls that they are playing the course, not the other girls in their group.  They should focus on short game and good course management…and that EVERY stroke counts so make smart decisions,” Head Coach Jill Courter said.

While the senior leadership has played an important role on this team, Courter knew that they aren’t the only ones leading the team. She noted that, in order to qualify for sectionals, they would need “everyone on their game to perennial powers such Sion, St. Teresa’s and Lee’s Summit West.”

Wildcat golfers managed the district course well enough to  send four players to sectionals: Caroline Duvall (12), Sierra Heutson (12), Sophie Mermelstein (12), Lauren Muller (11) will compete as as team on October 8 at Adams Point.
